Luke Bonner Joins UCBA as Senior Advisor

Lowell, MA - The USA Cambodia Basketball Association (UCBA) today announced

that Luke Bonner, owner of Power Forward Sports Group (Concord, N.H.) and

former professional basketball player, has formally linked with their organization

as Lead Senior Advisor. “We are very excited that Luke Bonner will be assisting us

to grow our organization in the United States,” said UCBA President, Sokhary

Chau. “His experience as a professional player and his skills in sports marketing

will lift the UCBA to the next level.”

The UCBA is an established nonprofit formed in 2017 to organize and build youth

(under 23 years old) basketball programs with Cambodian Americans in the

United States and other countries. The organization also works to build players’

self-confidence and pride through initiating and growing the love of basketball

and its positive attributes. Luke Bonner said, “I am pleased to work with the UCBA

to help them build their organization and develop the sport of basketball among

Cambodian American youth.”

The UCBA will hold a “3 on 3” tournament on May 18, 2019, at Westford

Academy in Westford, Mass. More information on the tournament can be found

at: www.u-cba.org. This is the first of several basketball events to be sponsored

by the UCBA over the coming year. Luke Bonner will be present at this event and

presenting trophies to the winning teams.

It is expected that members of the UCBA team will be competing in the 2019 SEA

Games (South East Asian Games) in December 2019 in the Philippines and 2023 in

Cambodia.
